Exit external player forces fullscreen

Using the Emby Theater (ET) works great with external player (MPC), however.. when exiting the player, ET goes into sort-of-fullscreen. What I mean by "sort-of" is that ET goes full-screen, but it only uses the center part of the screen, with a lot black empty space around all sides.

 

And it gets worse.When I have ET on my secondary screen and I then exit the external player (which was playing a video on the 2nd screen), the primary screen gets a nice black full-screen overlay while the secondary monitor correctly shows the ET interface.
