have one main server connected to multiple servers need some advice

Guys im trying to find away that i can have all my media content that is spread across many servers in one place now the way im looking to do it is were i have one server which is main then i have my other servers which are content servers i would like to add the server as if it was a library rather than a separate entity

So create network shares on each of your content servers at the base of your multimedia path and then create libraries on the main server pointing to the network shares on the content servers.

 

Does that do it for you?

So something like samba if for exmaple i use one main server this server would have my live tv and some content now this is a high bandwith server  now my main worrie that it would funnel through the bandwith server and use that servers bandwith aswell as the content server they way i would like to tray and do it is that it only uses bandwith from were ever the media is located

So is this all on a LAN?  How many users/devices?  Is bandwidth REALLY going to be an issue?

If you mean secondary servers as slaves, we don't currently support this but it's something we'd like to investigate in the future. thanks !

I was trying to do something similar but gave up.

 

Would be nice if EMBY was broken in pieces so you have EMBY Master Server and EMBY Agents (Where the media lives)  And the Agents check in with the Master to establish connection and let the MASTER know what media the Agent has available.
