People Refresh

I understand that after recent changes, the people metadata is refreshed 30 days after the date they were added.

 

I have noticed that the default image fetched for an actor by tmdb changes as new images get added for an actor on tmdb. I would like for emby to get that latest image (if it has changed) during the 30 day cycle refresh even the actor already has an image.

 

Is this happening right now or just for the people with missing metadata or images?

Right now it's missing metadata only, we don't replace the image.

That's good to hear.

 

In the short term, when new content (movie/tv show/episode) is added it could add missing people metadata/images as well as replace people metadata/images that already exist in the library for that particular movie/tv show/episode. I don't think this would result in many requests to tmdb as it would be just per movie/tv show/episode and not the whole library.
