Did the stream you were watching stop at that moment too?

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Just tested and a active stream is not disconnected.  Once I stopped the stream couldn't do anything else.

im going to do a complete fresh install in the morning just in case its a corrupt install then we can see what happens

On the user devices how are they login in?

The error message is not as expected though, it says "invalid username or password", would be better if said perhaps, "this device is not allowed."

Generally, with security violations, you don't want to give whoever is trying to get in detailed information about what else to try in order to breach you... ;)

Dont you have similar under your dashboard >> users tab? Choose a user, then like the above. Deselect and the list of selectable with toggles appears.

Yes we do but it does not work. We have one test user (guest) who has three devices and although we only have one ticked, he can still use on all three.

If this is a VOD sharing community why give every user admin access?

They are not admin, they are registered as guests

Wait, the key word I got it.. this does not disconnect them.

That part you are right. It just makes it so next time they sign off, they cant waltz back in again with that device. I guess when that device with that user is connected and you disable that very device that user is using at that moment you hit save the server should immediately logout any users using disabled devices. Is that more what you wanted to happen?

No, the key phrase is .... this does not prevent access on any devices next connect

Can you explain what the devices are? thanks.

Do Guests follows the same access restriction compared to Users since they are linked?  I don't have any guess accounts to test.

We created them as guests because we initially had them ad users and the system would not let us kick their account - it would appear to be fine our end until they logged in again. That function seems to work with guests.

We obviously want to push our Plex users to Emby (many of them) but we must be able to disable them on expiry and we must also be able to limit their device usage.

Created a guest account and was able to block the user on all apps that I use.  Only access you can't block is  Browser (app.emby, media or tv.emby.media) as a browser is not an app.
