OK this may sound odd, but I swear it's happening:

I am new to Emby, but not new to streaming. I have installed Emby Windows Server to my Windows 10 rig at least twice now, configured it, detected my media library, streamed local media to my TV, and everything worked like a charm but, whenever I shut down and then reboot my rig, Emby is nowhere to be found. Searching for it in the quickstart menu gives the option to get it again as an app. I have checked my windows event viewer and nothing, and my virus detection also shows nothing/no warnings were given during install or after. Anyone know what gives? I find it beyond weird it installs fine, and then there is no trace of the program after I reboot. It's a great program, but WTF is going on? My system is a fully updated Windows 10 system. I checked to make sure I had the .net framework installed and I do. Any ideas? This can't be normal.

Reinstalled and setup and and saved everything all over again. I had seen the Emby service running in my services before doing this again, so there is a trace of an install, but no program on my system. So weird. I'd rather use this program than Plex.

Are you sure it's gone?  Did you check the install path to see if the files are present?  It's a lot more likely it just isn't launching at startup.  The executable files are at C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\System

Also what Windows user did you install it with? is that the same Windows user that you're logging in with?

I had the same problem when i installed mobile version.

Went into user\emby......., Right clicked mediabrowser exe, created short cut to desktop. Right clicked desktop icon added to task and start menu.

Reboots are just fine now with 3.0.7200 on Win7

Hope this helps.
