Query Emby database files

Following the guide here https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/10427-how-to-migrate-emby-server/ I'm migrating to a new PC.

 

However unfortunately during the move one of my drives has died.  Is there an query I could run on the database using SQLite that will allow me to get the info I need.

 

I'm thinking something like

select * from mediatable where filelocation like 'F:\%'

but I have no idea if the schema and database structure to know where to start.  It looks a bit more complicated than that.

Hi @@DaveM77, the migration guide is designed to migrate personalization, not library setup. So rather than try to port your library setup, I would just rebuild that on the new server. So your steps would look like

 

• Install new server
• Migrate data from old server to restore settings and personalization
• Setup library on new server

ok - ignore the migration side.  I still have a full backup of the system drive where emby was installed - is there any database or files within there that would give me a way of listing all my media?  Any sort of cache or whatever emby uses.

i suspected that but couldn't make any sense of the scheme. Couldn't see a table with file locations in it or media names. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated

Try the TypedBaseItems table.

Nailed it ta - missed it due to all the null values in path at the top of the table.
