neodawg 2 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I have some old content that I add and it isnt on IMDB or pretty much anywhere, so I have added it to themoviedb site. Emby seems to pull in the seasons and such, but it just refuses to load the images from the site, despite that site being the first item in the metadata list on the server. Can someone shed some light on what I might be doing wrong? Here is an example of something I have added. https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/433638-bob-the-builder-bob-s-winning-team I have identified and refreshed the metadata many many times, doesnt seem to make a difference either. It will pretty much pull the description in right away, so I know its communicating with the site. I just have no idea why the images dont load.
Luke 42085 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 If you just added it to moviedb there can be a delay before it is available through the moviedb api. additionally, emby server keeps a cache of the metadata. i would suggest giving it another day or two and then trying it again. thanks !
neodawg 2 Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Sorry, I forgot to mention that, but I have waited several days and retried. Also I have removed all images from Emby and even disabled the screen grabber from the metadata tab, because that kept taking over.
Luke 42085 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Ok, then the best thing to do is discuss a specific example and provide the information requested in how to report a problem. thanks !
Happy2Play 9785 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Sorry didn't have any issues adding this test media. Even though it is probably more appropriate to list as TV. Season 10 Episode 17
neodawg 2 Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Thanks for testing Happy2Play, You might be right, these kids shows are hard to figure out, because they make DVDs or VHSs of single episodes and call them a "movie". I dont know why it doesnt work for me, maybe I will have to remove the media file for a couple of days and wait for it to be clear from the Emby DB then try re-adding it. Sorry didn't have any issues adding this test media. Even though it is probably more appropriate to list as TV. Season 10 Episode 17
neodawg 2 Posted January 15, 2017 Author Posted January 15, 2017 Seems like it takes about a week for me for it to correctly pull it in...

In most cases, we only download internet metadata on first import. Emby will not re-download at any point in time later unless you do a manual refresh. So you're comment about one week, I think you're just not understanding how Emby works. Emby downloaded whatever internet metadata was available when you first added the content. If you want to re-download at some point in the future then you have to refresh it.
Happy2Play 9785 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) Seems like it takes about a week for me for it to correctly pull it in... How did you get the image via image editor or Refresh? Seems odd though that I was able to get the image, when you weren't on the 10th. Another note is I upload a Collection image to TMDB and was available in image editor by the time I got it open. So I am not sure is content types have different timelines on TMDB.
