lifespeed 42 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) Is it possible to implement a feature, which I am assuming would be part of Emby Theater, that scales the video to the display size? The classic example of this would be the HDTV sub-channels which are broadcast at a smaller resolution. Just to be clear, these are not 4:3 aspect ratio SD programs, but 16:9 content that has been compressed to fit in the smaller bandwidth of an HDTV sub-channel. I think the typical behavior of an HDTV, tuning these signals natively, is to scale them to fit the 1920 X 1080 display. ET is showing them at their as-broadcast resolution, which leaves a lot of the screen real estate unused. Edited January 10, 2017 by lifespeed 2
SikSlayer 249 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I've been meaning to ask for this for a while now. What would solve this would be a zoom option, like Ember has.
lifespeed 42 Posted January 25, 2017 Author Posted January 25, 2017 Too much bug squashing for this to be considered at the moment?
Luke 42078 Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Yes I think zooming settings are something we should offer in a future update. thanks ! 2
Sammy 790 Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 This would be nice for 480p content that sometimes doesn't fill the screen.
