nVidia Shield 2 with kodi emby app or emby app for shield

Hi,

Actually I am running a Raspberry3 with krypton and emby app for kodi and everything is working fine for me. Now I have ordered a Shield 2 and I am asking me what is better for watching Movies and series:

The Android app for emby or should I install Kodi and and the emby app for Kodi?

Also for android devices and especially the shield you should use SPMC (the android kodi developers own version of kodi) rather than the official kodi (you can install both side by side if you wish)

Because this is my first shield, is it possible to have both on the shield: Emby for Android and Kodi with Emby for Kodi?

Because I have a handfull Movies in 3D and Kodi Krypton play them very well.

I use both.

 

I like the player controls in KODI (SPMC), like pushing up or down to go to the next chapter, or the ability to instantly download subtitles if needed. Ilike the Emby app as it has some features not available in Kodi, like playlist.

 

There is also a third option, to use the Emby app with Kodi as the player.
