mediatalent 0 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Hi, I'm testing remote connectivity with the desktop app and cannot connect to port 8920 over WAN. This is the same if I use DNS name or public IP address. There is no issue however using a regular web browser connecting. It appears the desktop app is not capable of generating a user request to accept the self signed cert ? Thanks
Luke 42078 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Hi @@mediatalent, are you using the default ssl cert or your own? What happens if you try the http address?
mediatalent 0 Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Hi @@mediatalent, are you using the default ssl cert or your own? What happens if you try the http address? Hi Luke, I'm using a the default SSL (Self Signed) cert generated by the system. Using IP or DNS (Http) name causes the same result. Are you able not able to replicate this ? Cheers
Luke 42078 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 I am, i was just curious about your usage. In order to resolve this we are going to have to override the embedded LAV and directshow components to not reject the self-signed cert, and that just hasn't been done yet.
