Metadata field 'Short overview' not in preferred language

In the server settings under metadata I set 'German' for my preferred language for downloads.

Title, Tagline, Overview - all this fields are in German. Only the 'Short overview' are in English.

I've checked multiple movies (example attached) but it's all the same.

So, I'm using some wrong setting somewhere? Or is this a little bug of the server?

Server: 3.1.2.0

OS: Debian 8.6

I this the only movie that way or is it that way for all movies?  My guess would be the provider site not having a German translation for Short Overview.

I've checked 30+ movies and they all have the short overview in the wrong language.

So I think it's a general problem for all movies.

@@kalle, moviedb does not have a short overview. we get it from omdb and they are english only.

Is "Short Overview" actually used anywhere/any app?

It's used by Kodi. One thing we could do in order to localize it is just put the tagline in there.

@Luke: OK, no localized data for 'short overview'. Thanks for clearing.

I'm using Emby for Kodi and I've edited the skin code, so now using the normal overview and only fall back to the english short when empty. It's OK for me.

Just checked, many older movies don't have a tagline. (With preferred language to german and omdb at first, tmdb at second for downloading metadata.)

Since we know OMDB is English only, I would make TMDB first.

This was my first decision. But I don't like the TMDB ratings and want likely have the IMDB ratings.

So I set OMDB in the first because I think they using the IMDB ratings.

And it works good, all the metadata is localized to my language - except the short overview.

The default metadata settings are designed to provide the best experience, whether you want English or international data.
