Got some questions about playback and setup.

Hi, me again.

Leaving fullscreen when changing media. I am using the web interface for playback and im doing a run through of a tv series. When it changes from one episode to the next it leaves full screen. Not exactly a deal breaker, but kind of annoying. Any fix for this?

Choosing a specific network. I went ahead and hooked up a wireless N router hoping to take out some of the lag in playback, but it seems to not help. Can i tell Emby which network to stream over,i would rather it have its own network.

Aspect ratio. Usually for movies ill pick 16:6 aspect ratio for playback. Emby dosent seem to have the option to change aspect ration. Am i missing it, or is there not one?

And finally audio levels. In most modern, and even older, movies audio levels are all over the place. Like dialog almost being a whisper and action scenes being break all the windows loud. Makes watching a movie at 3am annoying without waking eveyone. Have to adjust the audio ever 3 seconds. Raise the volume to hear what there saying then wake everyone up in the house when an action scene comes on.

VLC media player had options and settings to kinda normalize this. Make it so it coudent go above a specific level or below. Does emby have something like that?

Hi @@Progeekzy, i'm going to assume you're asking about the built-in web app. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The fullscreen transition is resolved for the next release of Emby Server.

Aspect ratio/normalization - you can't really compare a browser-based app to Vlc. We could offer these settings in the browser, but in order to accomplish them we'd have to rely on server transcoding. Most users would not want that. if the video is direct streaming, there is no way for us to influence this because browser video players do not offer API's for these sorts of things.

Audio normalization is a little more realistic because converting audio is not that big of a deal.

FYI - The Emby Theater Windows Desktop app has audio normalization settings.
