guppy710 8 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Hello everyone, I've been using Emby for several months now and love it so far..... However, i do have a question..... Is there a way to be able to manage recordings on a per user basis? My children each have their own user profile on my server where I can set their access times and parental controls. Is there a way where each child can set, watch, and delete recordings of live tv without the ability to delete a recording set by another? Thanks in advance, Guppy 3
Luke 42086 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Hi Guppy, no, not really. Ultimately we will have per library delete settings so at that point you might be able to do that. My suggestion for right now would be to let them schedule recordings and then you can just handle the deleting.
guppy710 8 Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 Hi Luke, Thanks for the quick reply. Do you think per user recording management is something that could possibly be added at a later time? Maybe have a setting to specify the recording path on a per user basis. Then permissions could be set via the existing user settings...... Just a thought..... Thanks for delivering a great product.... Guppy
Luke 42086 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 If there's enough demand then it is a possibility for the future.
dougw03 16 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Came here to say +1 for this feature. I have a family and don't want everyone's recordings in my profile.
Guest asrequested Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 I think this would be a good idea, too. Different recording paths would be good
Sven 136 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 It's better to like the first post instead of posting +1. So you also can see that number in the general overview... And it will be seen faster and picked up.
