Dysan 2 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Since i noticed that emby seems to directplay to my chromecast devices, it's almost impossible to watch a high def show without stuttering in audio & video. This problem only rises with chromecast, not with other playback methods. The device used is a Chromecast V1, situated rougly 2 meters from the Access Point. attached are the log files. ffmpeg.txt Server-Log.txt
Luke 42081 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Hi, if you drop the chromecast bitrate setting to make this fully transcode, how does it compare then?
Dysan 2 Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 Yes when i drop the bitrate (thus force Transcoding) it goes correct. Just tested with my Android Sony TV which is cable connected, it has exactly the same issue. Changed the Bitrate, problem solved. Only i prefer directstream because the CPU utilisation, and problems with multiple streams eating the CPU. so really not solved, but problem avoided
