techworld 3 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) Hi guys, Can you guys implement an option that we, admin, can clear the logs such as activities from the Admin Dashboard? I would like to clear out some logs sometimes. Thanks. Edited January 2, 2017 by techworld 1
joydashy 3 Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Hi, it's a good idea yes. Was this ever implemented? Could really use this now, my Logs page loads super super slow due to issue in: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/75357-issues-with-transcoding-hevc-on-some-clients-recently/
Luke 42078 Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 No, but we already clear log files older than three days old so the list shouldn't be too long I wouldn't think. Thanks.

Locutus64 125 Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 I know this thread is a bit old but a feature like this should of already been implemented. I currently have 29 log files. I can see holding on to 3 of each type of log but not 29 between the 2 types.

Yes I suppose a button might be nice, but the current mechanism provides sufficient cleanup for the vast majority of users I would think.

If I process 100 episodes then I can expect 100 image extraction logs for that day. If there are 10 items transcoded one day then there are 10 files. So number of logs in your log folder will be dependent on your server activity. And can be tweaked if it that much of a issue. But as mentioned you could have hundreds of logs pending on your server activity and I believe set logging level (debug). <LogFileRetentionDays>3</LogFileRetentionDays> 2
