zachmo826 1 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I've got a question about how the server handles caching images for use within the web browser, and potentally other clients. Does the server cache images for use after a file has been scanned? I've currently got my server pointed toward a Unraid box that tries to spin down drives whenever it can. I've noticed that if I haven't used media browser for a while, I can hear the hard drives spin up on the Unraid box, and it will take a second for images to pop up in the web interface. Aditionally, when I access MBS when the Unraid box is offline, only some images appear, but I can't really find a pattern to it (some posters, some fanart, etc) Is there anyway I can set the images used when navigating the web interface to be stored locally with MBS so for casual media browsing activities, it only spins up the drives when I actually pick something to play?
Luke 42077 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 we do cache them but it's on an as-needed basis. there's currently no way to create it in advance.
