hgeorgescu 4 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Hello Emby folks; I'm trying emby server again (tried it one year ago and it didn't work for me). I see good progress with the photo album, it displays photos properly, and orientation in album mode is now correct, on all photos I tested with. One issue persists though: many thumbnails have the wrong orientation. It shows the same in IE11 and FF50.1.0, running on Windows 7. Is anyone else seeing the same problem? And if so, can it be corrected? Thank you hg
Luke 42077 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Hi there, welcome. Just to confirm, you're saying it's only happening in certain browsers?
hgeorgescu 4 Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Hi, thanks for the quick follow-up. Those are the browsers I used/use and both exhibit the same behavior. As soon as I click on the thumbnail and I'm going one level deeper (album browsing mode), in the respective photo library (I have folders organized by year, each loaded/declared separately in Emby Library), I can see the photos with the proper orientation). Thank you
Luke 42077 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Hi @@hgeorgescu, can you provide a sample photo for testing? Please zip it up to avoid the forum compressing and altering it. thanks !
hgeorgescu 4 Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Sure. here are a few samples photos-emby-samples.zip
Luke 42077 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Hi @@hgeorgescu, inside the zip file is a docx file. Can you zip up the images directly without putting them into a word document? thanks !
hgeorgescu 4 Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 Ok. I've converted the docx into pdf, which I'm still including for the couple of explanations and two snapshots of top level view, fyi. Two separate photos zipped together with the pdf, can be opened independent of the pdf, if any concerns. Thanks photos-emby-samples.zip
