Title of TV episodes missing & custom folders empty

Morning,

 

I am finally making the jump to Emby after many years of using MediaBrowser 2.x, and I'm really liking it. Only, after a while of fooling around with it, I keep hitting a couple frustrating snags.

 

First, my TV shows are showing up, but individual episodes are either the wrong title or no title at all. 

 

How can I fix this? Or is it possible to have it read directly from metadata folder created in MB2?

Second, part of what loved of MB2 is creating custom folders on the home screen, such "New Releases" or "Movies by Genre" folders. However, every time I create one of these folders on Emby they are always empty. On MB2, I simply made a folder with shortcuts of the new releases. 

 

 

I understand that this method doesn't work anymore, so now, I do it all through dashboard. But I don't understand why the folder remains empty.

@@eNoize, ok so you've added individual movies and series as library folders. this is not supported. you need to add the parent folder.

Correct, this will show all the series/items inside that parent folder.  Since shortcuts no longer work, you sort of have to decide if you put the media in New Releases or just in Movie folder.

Thanks. I'll try that in a sec, but as for the New Releases question, being in a movie folder with all my other movies and simply adding them individually in dashboard does not work, as seen in the the screenshot?

 

Also, is there a way I can keep using the same skin themes from MB2, like Diamond and Chocolate? If so, how?

Correct you can not add individual media/item folder via dashboard.  You have to choose is the media will reside in Movie folder or New Release folder.  This is where short cuts had an advantage.

Hi, again. Since making the changes and everything working perfectly, the folders on dashboard no longer allow me to make settings changes (the three vertical lines in the corner disappeared) and the New Releases folder doesn't show on the home screen like the others do.

I'm on chrome and latest version of Emby, which is 3.1.2.0

Yes, actually, I did. When I removed the Custom css, the settings options for each folder reappeared. Good call! And thank you.

Now, I just to need to move the New Releases folder out the Folders to the home screen.
