lol - i actually do have it installed on my 2012r2 server - ver 14.5 - but 2012r2 is based on win8.1 and they work

It's all good. Apparently having them turn off and on as often as they would, is bad for the drives. More physical wear and tear. I just wanted to find a way to cool them down. Thanks for checking into to it. I wonder if they'll ever fix this?
