Rumbaar 13 Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) Hi, I've performed a fresh install from a spindle harddrive to a SSD. I'm using a Harmony One 700 series remote, and have since the MediaBrowser days with on a few adjustments as software progressed. On the previous install, which I can still access via plugging the drive back in, I was able to use the "Play" button to start a movie/TV from it's preview icon. With this fresh install, that function no longer works and I have to enter into the item and then enter on the PLAY button to start. Secondly I used the back button to go back, which is mapped with the "BACK" settings and that no longer works, I have to use the "+" button which is mapped to the "CLEAR" functionality. Also in the previous install within Emby Theater when I went "BACK" to the login screen I'd have the options for SLEEP and SHUTDOWN, which are no longer present. The previous machine was an upgrade path from MB=>EMBY=> (Win 7 => 10) so had a lot of legacy settings I'm sure. Just wondering how do I get this functionality back? Cheers, Edited December 27, 2016 by Rumbaar
Rumbaar 13 Posted December 27, 2016 Author Posted December 27, 2016 Okay, I found the issue. I had installed from the Windows 10 store, and didn't realise it was the issue. Guess not all Emby Theater installations are created equal Will this be an issue always, or is this just an issue with build versions?
Solution Luke 42078 Posted December 27, 2016 Solution Posted December 27, 2016 Hi @Rumbar, yes the Windows store version is based on the Windows 10 framework and right now has a smaller feature set than the traditional Windows Desktop version. Over time this of course will be reconciled, but if there's something you need in the desktop app, then you'll probably want to stick to that one for now. Thanks. 1
