Hi,

It would be totally awesome if there were a possibility to uploaded the manually downloaded subtitle in kodi to the emby server using the http mode. All meby apps allow for server-side subtitle downloading except the kodi addon solution right now ..

Thanks and keep up te great work !

I think if you use native playback mode instead of addon, the subtitle downloader in Kodi will save the files within the actual content directory. To switch, you'll need to reset your local database.

Yup, but of course I want to use addon since the server is in a remote Location ...

Then no, it's not possible to do this. At least I don't think the emby api allows for files copying to original directories.

Well it IS possible using the native apps (like IOS for example) so there must we a way to do it, and right now it's a missing feature from the emby/kodi setup. So please concider this feature devs ... I'd be eternally grateful :)

Any of both would work for me, but since downloading srt's via various plugins on the kodi box is already available, uploading it to the emby server might seem preferable. But I can imagine that it's harder to implement. So any of both options would be great !

@@edd-- Are you saying that Kodi downloads subtitles that Emby can't/doesn't?

If so, then perhaps this should be directed to the server support forum for Luke to look at.

Yes kodi can download subtitles that emby can't because at the moment afaik emby only sources from opensubtitles.org whereas kodi has many more sources available as plug-ins

I think opensubtitles is the most important provider so I don't think anything should change serverside, unless maybe provide an API to post the subtitles to the server when they are selected in kodi ...
