sle118 4 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 @@sle118 I'm curious how your experimentation ended up. Recording live TV with Emby has proven to be unstabble at best so far for various reasons and Emby is not always the root cause so I haven't had a chance to experiment with this at all. It's still on my radar, though, but not something for which I would be able to allocate time in the near future. Thank you!
bardmaster 17 Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I'm actually having great success, better even than my experience with NextPVR (which often has some pixelation and frame jumps).
sle118 4 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 I'm actually having great success, better even than my experience with NextPVR (which often has some pixelation and frame jumps). I actually found one of the culprit of my problematic recordings; the duration of the recording when transcoding live is controlled by ffmpeg, which determines the duration of a file not by start/end time but by looking at stream content and this leads to recordings that are too short on TS files. I have opened a new topic on this in the Live TV section.
