How to save NFOs in media library?

Is it just me or is the option to save NFOs inside the media drawers missing? I wanted to turn that on and remembar vaguely that such an option existed, also search turns up references, but I do not find it in my GUI (3.1.1).

 

In Library->Advanced there is an option to save metadata as hidden files, but that seems to do nothing for me, and it is not really clear in this option, where this hidden files are supposed to be saved.

Go to Dashboard / Library / choose a library / select the 3 dot menu / Manage Folders

 

Make sue that "save artwork and metadata into media folders" is checked.
