ebr 16170 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Try clearing your ClickOnce cache (Google it).
KentFL 0 Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 I did not want to delete all the ClickOnce files and I did not see one I could identify with xbmc. I am not sure what effect it would have to delete all the files. Any further guidance? Kent
ebr 16170 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 We aren't xbmc... Anyway, that is the only way I know to do it. Others have had success with that approach.
KentFL 0 Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 I found a setup from 6/2013 for server installation. I tried running it and got the same error message. "Installation cannot be started. Contact the application vendor." Kent
ebr 16170 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 See similar situation here. Solved by my suggestion above.
KentFL 0 Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 I ran this rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache from the command prompt. No change. rebooted and no change. Good suggestion, but didn't help.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 May be a corruption in your .NET Framework installation... See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976982

MBC was just running this morning on his pc, I had to re-load MY computer today, he didnt know what i was doing, couldnt figure out why MBC wouldnt work.... and tried uninstalling and re-installing it. so it worked, but didnt because of the server was down, got uninstalled, now wont install. confused 4EETRBVK.log

ebr 16170 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I found a reference on MSDN that says this error could be caused by a Windows user profile corruption and to re-create it. 1
