Recorded TV showing as Movies

As topic, just picked up the update to 3.1.1 and through iOS App and Web Client latest Recorded TV is showing as movies on the home page.

How have you configured the recording path?

Just checked and the FireTV app doesn't show the Recorded TV in latest movies on home page.

Also from iOS and Web Client if I browse to Movies page then only the latest movies are displayed, it's only on the home page these are being displayed.

OK I de-selected this option and they are displaying correctly now in the web client and iOS app.

 

Though I appear to have two 'Latest Recording' ribbons...

 

 

Edit: Sorted the duplicate 'Latest Recording' ribbon by removing 'Folders' from my 'Latest items' selection...

 

Edit take 2: Removing 'Folders' from my 'Latest items' selection only fixed the duplicate ribbon on the web client it's still there in the iOS client.

Ok, so it sounds like the system did everything you told it to do. The duplicate latest recordings section is resolved for the next release of the iOS app.

 

How can we improve this so that you don't wind up thinking there's a problem in the first place? Would it be better if we just didn't have the grouping option?

I've had the grouping option obviously set for a long time and only after this release has it displayed like this.

 

I don't think it is doing its job correctly as I shouldn't have Recorded TV listed in with latest movies? Record Movies sure....which is probably why it was checked previously.

 

I assume now if I record a movie it won't show in my latest movies as I deselected the option.

It's still the same as the initial screenshots, I can give some more but they are the same as the first ones attached.

Ok, when I check the box to include recordings then recorded TV goes into the Movies ribbon as per the attached.

 

You can see the series in the latest TV ribbon below the Movies.

If you click those two items of the same video, when you're on the detail screen do they both have the same id in the address bar query string?
