biffiny 0 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I may be missing something, a tick in some box somewhere .. I recently updated my Emby on my Qnap and for some reason genre listings have disappeared from my DLNA devices. The genre folder is visible but when drill down into it it is blank - nothing inside. Genres on the web GUI are working fine, it is only DLNA that is unhappy. Any help would be appreciated.
Luke 42077 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Hi welcome. what folder exactly is blank?
biffiny 0 Posted December 18, 2016 Author Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) The genre folder is visible from the DLNA menu but within that folder the folder is empty. Everything else is working fine but EMBY > MOVIES > GENRES > (EMPTY), this used to display the different genres as folders but now nothing at all. Edited December 18, 2016 by biffiny
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 What server version? What DLNA device? I am on beta and Windows 10 DLNA sees the items without issue.

Luke 42077 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Hi @@biffiny, I can see what might be causing this. We're looking into it, thanks !
biffiny 0 Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 3.1 has fixed the issue, I'm not sure if you made any changes that rectified the issue but the process of updating or changes you made have fixed it none the less .
crazybbs 24 Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Hi sorry to revive this post but I've the same problem on my LG Blueray player BH7520T, Since last update, the genres folder give me an empty list when I click on a specific genre ( ie. action) It' working on another client and it was working good before. Thank you,
Luke 42077 Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Genres look OK for me, but I will continue to test, thanks.
