Uninstall and reinstall Emby w/o losing settings?

If I uninstall and the reinstall Emby sever in place, will it retain all its settings?

 

My media server won't sleep or enter energy-saving mode. I want to debug by uninstalling applications to hopefully find the problem. While I don't think Emby is to blame, I want to uninstall to be sure. But I'd rather not lose all my settings and custom artwork and redo my configuration.

Hi, if that's all you need to debug, then I would just shut down the Emby Server application.

Ok. I'll definitely try that to start. (I didn't know if Emby relied on any windows support packages -- the VIsual Studio runtimes -- that might continue running in the background even if the server is quit. I was thinking of uninstalling the runtimes -- I've got a dozen versions from trying various HTPC programs and don't know what is detritus on my pc. )

To answer your original question, if you don't select "Remove all traces" then your configuration will stay intact.
