Emby for Kodi playback stutters when playing BD Remuxes

Hi,

I installed Emby for Kodi earlier this week and it seems to work fine when I play things over 'http', but when I choose 'native' (which I prefer) the video playback stutters no matter what.

This is when playing big files (Blu-ray remuxes - 20-40GB), by the way, and these are the only files I have. I haven't tested it with smaller material but I'm 100% positive that these problems wouldn't occur playing those kinds of files.

There's nothing downloading in the background, nothing is happening at all even. I've also set up the shares correctly in the Emby manager but to no avail. My Internet is 500Mbit and even though the Raspberry Pi 3 only supports 100Mbit ethernet that shouldn't also be a problem.

I've also reset and refreshed the database but no dice.

What could be the problem? I'm no Kodi master but I do know my way around things. I've changed and tried everything by now but I can't get it to work. Again, no problems thus far when playing over 'http', except for some small freezes (the subtitles do continue and then eventually stop as well).

These are the settings from my advancedsettings.xml file:

<network>
<buffermode>1</buffermode> <!-- Comment: Default is 1 -->
<cachemembuffersize>104857600</cachemembuffersize> <!-- Comment: Default is 20971520 bytes or 20 MB -->
<readbufferfactor>2.0</readbufferfactor> <!-- Comment: Default is 1.0 -->
</network>

Any ideas would be appreciated!

The addon is not involved in playback (even with addon playback mode, which simply gives the path to content in real time to Kodi). I'd suggest you post on the official Kodi forums for help to setup your advancedsettings cache.
