Looks a little bit strange how to manage the wiki and add my stream url's probably I need to read a little bit more at the moment i didn't get it but I only had now 5 minutes to look at it ;).

I haven't tried adding a station myself yet, but that's what it is intended for, so ther must be a way - but right:Ā  a closer look will be needed.

Some time ago, I did some research about sources for radio stations with online streams, and it had been a lot less fruitful than I had expected. Most of the lists I found were bound to specific apps which didn't expose the stream urls, or lists from persons or projects that had been abandoned already. Even apps which were still active had so many dead entries that it got really unpleasant to go through those lists and try which ones are working.

From that background, I thought that it probably won't make much sense to create once another "John Doe's Radio Stations" project as it would very likely suffer the same fate like many of the other lists I've seen. I thought that there must be some kind of "public" and "central" "instance" where many people from everywhere may collaborate and contribute. That thought brought me to think about Wikipedia and to look at the radio stations that are registered there. Looking at those brought me to "wikidata" where certain entries in the Wikipedia are managed and maintained as datasets“=> Perfect!

Unfortunately, those entries suffer from the same issue as described above: Too many streams do not work. To avoid bad experience due to that, the Streamfeeds aggregator is checking all station streams and adds only those streams to the list which are actually working (currently about 200 from 600).
This can have the effect that some stations may disappear on one day and re-appear later again, but this could be refined a bit (like to only remove stations where the streams weren't accessible for N consecutive days, or something similar).
