Setting up kodi

I just reinstalled Kodi 16.1 its my first time doing it myself so I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly but it's installed and I'm in the app fallowing the steps for add one but I keep getting a message that "couldn't connect to network server" HeLP!

If you entered your network credentials then you would need to restart Kodi in order for those changes to take effect.

 

However the message asks you if you still want to continue - and you can select yes here and allow the scan to finish.  Once complete then you can restart Kodi.

Hm, we don't have such a message. Do you have your webserver enabled (In Kodi settings > services > Web server ? Let me know.
