This issue was resolved by a clean install.  Also resolved by a clean install was Emby Server not honoring the streaming limit on my android devices.  I tried initially to restore a backup but it was giving me issues with the key.  I ended up just recreating everything which wasn't awful because I wanted to make some changes.

There's really no explanation for that, so more than likely we're just guilty of offering too much configuration, which makes it difficult to test everything, and therefore there's some combination of settings that caused your issue.

From broken audio and no video - i'm now getting video but no audio at all with live TV. everything looks up to date. It was working before but not used it for a week or 2.

 

Android app streams live TV with audio(though the emby logo is stuck in the middle of the screen after it stops spinning)

 Thanks Luke, Still having no audio issues with live TV via xbox one app(and also noticed in IPTV). recordings are fine. Know there have been updates. any ideas?

Have attached log. Android live TV works fine with audio, Xbox one I either get black screen or on a different channel video but no audio.

This is only the emby server log. Is there also an ffmpeg log?

Can you try a portable installation of the stable server and see if that behaves differently? the portable download is on our website

You can just unzip anywhere you like and run the exe. Note - I'm asking you to do this since you're running a pre-release version of the server, therefore I'm assuming you're interested in participating in these kinds of testing activities. Thanks !

OK, logs attached.

 

Looks a little better as SD stations now have audio, but HD stations still get black screen(and no audio) in xbox one app.

 

Tested on android app all SD and HD stations work perfectly, local browser on server PC works as well.
