Jdiesel 1431 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Can you test with an unsecure connection to rule that out?
pappaq 8 Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 Can you test with an unsecure connection to rule that out? I will try that tomorrow and report back. Thank you guys.
pappaq 8 Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 I will try that tomorrow and report back. Thank you guys. OK, I tried it and it doesn't make a difference. http or https both get me around 650kbyte/s. Any other ideas?
pappaq 8 Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 That's embarassing...I think I've found the failure. I set rules for emby in my firewall now. Seems to work now. I get downloadspeeds of around 2.5-3.5Mbyte/s.
pappaq 8 Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) What rule caused this? That was the problem. There was no rule at all. I have set them now, one inbound and one outbound for the emby server application and that had a large impact on the speed. I will test the streaming now for some days and will report back! Luke 42077 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Thanks for the info. That's quite interesting. I haven't heard of a firewall rule affecting performance. Usually it just winds up affecting connectivity.
pappaq 8 Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 Hey! After more than one week now, the streaming works great! Even 5 simultaneous 5mbit 1080p streams do work.
