horstepipe 422 Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 hey is it a bug or a wanted feature that when disabling and re-enabling a user, he needs to enter his Emby password again in Kodi and the database is being rescanned?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Can you explain what you mean by disabling a user? On your Emby server? I believe the server automatically revokes the authentication token. However if the database was already imported, it should not be re-importing the content. Let me know and I'll test it on my side.

Later I re-enabled the user and he had to enter his password. This is no big deal I was just curious if this is a wanted behavior. If I remember right a manual sync is being triggered after log in (or some kind of sync, definitely a quite quick one). Best regards Edited December 16, 2016 by horstepipe 1
Angelblue05 4132 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Ok, then it's perfectly normal. If you disable the user, the server revokes the authentication token. Which means when re-enabling the user, they will need to re-authenticate. A manual sync (or fast sync) then runs, which is normal when the Kodi profile is loaded. 1
