KRA 39 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 MBServer 3.0.5137.38567 I did a fresh install and added my media shares, then I installed some addons and upgraded to dev server. I think the upgrade restarted the server in middle of media library scan. Now I have a incomplete media library. The server has actually updated the files for all folders and report correct file count, however the web interface and clients report empty folders (ex no seasons for tv series) If I search it will find all episodes, but they are not listed under the shows on web/clients. I done library update, but it does not help. Any suggestions ? I've also made another user, but it has the same issue.
Luke 42077 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Has the library scan finished? What does your tv folder structure look like?
KRA 39 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) yes, library scan finished, I've also run it manually. folder structure is \\server\share\series\tv show\season x\(files) If I enter Library explorer on the server systray, the Physical view is more complete than user view. ebr 16169 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Did you turn on any parental control settings (max rating or block with no rating information)?
KRA 39 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) no parental control settings, it's clearly a database issue with it not updating. What do you want screenshot of ? I though there was a difference between physical view and user view, but it was just different sorting that threw me off, seems to be the same. //openindiana/media/Serier/Lilyhammer/Season 01/Lilyhammer.-.S01E01.-.Reality.Check.mkv Edited January 26, 2014 by KRA
Luke 42077 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 screenshots of series folders and everything underenath
KRA 39 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Can I wipe database and start over somehow ?
Luke 42077 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 why would you want to do that? the problem would just come right back. i'm trying to help so just give me what i need and we'll go from there
KRA 39 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 A clooser look at the media library I notice not all are split into seasons, and those who are not seems to be the problem.
Luke 42077 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 It is ok to not have season folders, although the current release server has a bug with that, but since you're on dev, you have the fix. In any event, it sounds like you'd rather just debug on your own so I'll leave you to it.
KRA 39 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 but is it ok to have a mix, series split to seasons, some series not, and some even mixed ?
Luke 42077 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 That is probably not going to work right now. We haven't tested it so I really can't say.
Luke 42077 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 In other words, you can have some series one way, some series the other way, but you can't have a series that is mixed.
KRA 39 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 I guess this is the problem then, seems like I have some sorting to do.
