Gummix 4 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Hi, i dont know if i do something wrong but Emby did not find the most Movies. Other Programms like Kodi, Ember, Elch etc find nearly 100% of the Movies, Ember mabye 10-20%. My Folder structure is like Movies/Testmovie/Testmovie.mkv // HDD/folder/file. Even i miss or not find a rename function to rename the folder/file. Greetings
denz 501 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I get 100% detection however all my movie folders have a name and year that the movie was released.
Gummix 4 Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) I dont have all time the year in the name, but why just Emby dont find the Movies? What is the differnt? And is there a Plugin/ a way to rename the Files and folder? For emaple: I search the right Movie (over a search funktion) than click on it and the Plugin rename the File and the Folder in the right way? Edited December 8, 2016 by Gummix
Luke 42078 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Hi, can you please discuss an example? Thanks !
Gummix 4 Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) HI, 7 Psychos Kodi, Elch, Ember find it instant, Emby not. Edited December 8, 2016 by Gummix
Luke 42078 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Can you show us the folder structure for that movie? Is that movie on moviedb.org?
ebr 16181 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Also, how did you setup the library? What content type did you make it and where, exactly, did you point the folder path?
Gummix 4 Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Can you show us the folder structure for that movie? Is that movie on moviedb.org? Hi, it is on /themoviedb.org ?ß / https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/86838-seven-psychopaths folder structure is Filme1/7 Psychos.mkv/7 Psychos.mkv so OMV Server (where Emby is running)/HDD (Filme1)/Folder/File Also, how did you setup the library? What content type did you make it and where, exactly, did you point the folder path? In Emby I added the Movie HDD to the Movie library and enabled the first 2 settings (load Pictures and Metadata form the internet and Save in Medafolder) I also tried preload Picture. Gummix 4 Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Hi, the first log is http://pastebin.com/XvEKLv0Q There are other logs too, but they are to long for Pastbin. Edited December 8, 2016 by Gummix
Gummix 4 Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) It seems like that Emby have problems with the folder. The folder has exactly the name as the file. File :7 Psychos.mkv Folder: 7 Psychos.mkv (This is cause i all time scan more movies and than use a .bat to create a folder with the file name and put the file in it automatically) When i rename the Folder to "7 Psychos" he find it. So, i now have to find a fast way to rename all movie folder..... I dont know why it works with the foldername.mkv in the other programms and in Emby not. Greetings Edited December 8, 2016 by Gummix

Luke 42078 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Ok you named both your file and folder 7 psychos.mkv \\movies\7 psychos.mkv\7 psychos.mkv I have never seen anybody do this before. @@Happy2Play. we'll have to add support for this.
Gummix 4 Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 I did this cause the .bat did it on this way and it works with every Scraper except Emby^^
Luke 42078 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 We'll add support for this for the next release of Emby Server. Thanks.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 @@Luke Does Emby search by folder name or file name?
Luke 42078 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 We use the folder name, if the movie is the only media item inside the folder.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I did this cause the .bat did it on this way and it works with every Scraper except Emby^^ Other fetchers may use file instead of folder. Do you really want your folder structure with file extentions?
Gummix 4 Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) As i started with Kodi the fastes way i found to put many files in Folder, name them and put them in was this .bat. It works so i dont saw a reason to change it till now. Other question. Is there a fast way to rename file and folder with Emby? Or generally rename? Maybe a Filebot Plugin or something like that? Thanks Edited December 8, 2016 by Gummix
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 I would use something like Bulk Rename Utility and trim the last 4 characters off each folder name.
