collective28 0 Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Mkv files stop playing 5 mins (ish) before end of program or film (regardless of media length) when you attempt to press resume it plays 1 more second then returns to menu screen for that show. You can keep pressing resume but the last 5 mins will constantly just stop and return to menu. If you restart it and skip past the initial point it stopped at you get about 5 seconds but then its still stops. Any Idea as to whats causing this?? I run windows server 2011 running to Apple TV 4th gen Cheers and thanks in advance

Rumbaar 13 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 The best thing to do is please provide the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks ! I did that in my thread in Android Mobile, and the only suggest was turn off Intel acceleration. Which didn't seem to help. I'll try and supply more logs, in that thread. Thanks,
collective28 0 Posted March 23, 2017 Author Posted March 23, 2017 Any update as to why this is still occurring ?? Now it often just opens the next episode ?? Still 5 to 10 mins before it should finish
dcook 299 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) I think I am having the same issue, I have watched two different .MKV files and it stops with about 5 minutes left. When you then click on play again the episode starts again from the beginning. @@Luke I think this issue is related to the behavior I described in the Linux forum, where the episode stops for no reason, and when you then try to play again it won't resume from the same spot and instead plays from the beginning and there is no way to skip forward to the point where it previously stopped. Luke 42085 Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 @@dcook, as a test, can you compare this to the results with a newer ffmpeg build? You can grab one here for testing: https://www.johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ Thanks !
