Episode listings are sequential

Hi @@Angelblue05.

Just noticed something weird on one of my two Shields.

Both are running Krypton Beta 6 with v2.3.23 of the Emby addon, but one is showing the episodes named correctly, whereas the other has them down as a number only.

So instead of 1x01 - Episode 1, it shows as a number, such as 618.

It looks like the number relates to the order that they were added to the Kodi database, as they appear in a sequential order after I reset the database.

Anything immediately spring to mind please?

I'll reset the database again a bit later and provide the Kodi log.

Thanks.

Which playback mode are you using again? I'll be around later today to check this out.

Native.

I know PlexKodiConnect users faced the same issue. I'm not sure if they ever found a solution. Does this only happen in Krypton is the question...

Yes, but both are running the same version, beta 6.

I'll post a log shortly.

No rush, just thought I'd ask if it had been seen before.

Can I ask you to PM your database files (you can use the backup option)

Fixed it.

Looks like it was a skin issue.

I use the MIMIC skin on both Shields, so backed it up from the working one and restored it to the non working one and now both are displaying the episodes correctly.

Not sure what it was though, as I thought they were already set up the same.

Anyway, apologies for disturbing you :)

I have got the same on one system. Got two windows 7 pcs running emby + kodi (titan skin). One updated and all of a sudden the episodes appeared as numbers. If I go through the add on (emby) all the libraries are there and all the seasons / episodes are named correctly. As soon as I go back to the home page and pick a series the episdes appear as numbers. All epsiodes named correctly on the server no problems with metadata and all episodes named correctly in the emby web ui.

Interesting.

Well the one thing I know is the number appearing seems to be the database Id number of the item. This seems isolated to Krypton, I've not yet seen this happen in Jarvis.

You are correct I would say database ID as the series number carries on increasing through the boxsets. And it is on krypton, but two computers using the same version of krypton, so down to an update, skin, emby plug in or something else.

Figured it out, turns out kodi was recognising movies and tv series as music and giving them a track number instead of the episode/movie name. Emby add on recognising them correctly. If I delete the shortcut that I created using the addon and create a smart shortcut straight to the movie / tv series folder then all the names appear correctly again.
