Emby Theater only black screen

In 42 it's not transcoding the video which means that VaApi is not even being used. In 47 it is doing a full transcode due to the lower requested bitrate, which is either due to your in-app settings or the automatic bitrate detection. 

 

You would probably see the same result in 42 if that were transcoding as well.

Sry, wrong log. Forgot to set the bitrate  to 720p/4mbit again after installation.

 

Vaapi transcoding works fine on 42.

Ok, I'm afraid this comparison is not really useful right now because in 42, we tried to switch to a different transcoding format but ultimately had to revert the change. Ultimately that is the format we want to use so in the near future we will probably try to make the change again.
