Quick question which is best option which to Emby

Roku Ultra Streaming Media Player or Apple TV 4th Generation Streaming Player

It will come down to personal choice and which ecosystem you want to live in but the Roku will end up needing a lot less transcoding (unless all your media is already in the Apple-friendly format).

I converted all my media over to MP4 = H-264 + AC3 in forum of stereo 2.0 or surround sound 5.1 over a year ago if that is any help

Then it does come down to personal preference and ecosystem as that is the Apple-friendly format.

 

Oh, also the Roku app from us will have more features (specifically Live TV support) but Apple will catch up.

It for my brother for his TV beside that will cost an arm a leg just have a small NUC by time add everything else need for that be useful and most of them are under power like the intel stick so it not a cost effect way to go so we look at Streaming Media Players.
