m-joy 15 Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Hi, i am using the emby for kodi plugin (latest beta) on the kodi 17 beta 5. There are two things: - the sync on my android box nvidia shield is kind of slow compared to the windows version, will there be a speedup? - is there a way to stop the automatical sync on booting kodi on android and do it manually? - When i delete a movie and sync the emby database, the movie is gone. But when kodi syncs, the movie is still shown in the library... How to fix that?

From your second question, I am guessing you don't have the Server SyncQueue plugin installed. Install that and when Kodi starts it will only sync the changes since you last ran. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/23971-fast-startup-sync-server-plugin/ xnappo Edited November 21, 2016 by xnappo

If I may, from my own experience, the first scan is critical and will pave the way for smooth and quick updates scan. When this first scan is going on, not disturbing it in any way shape or form is the best way for it to not only complete, but also do it in the least amount the time. To put it bluntly, hands off the computer while its doing first scan! Edited November 22, 2016 by jlr19

I only add maybe 3-4 episodes or a movie per day.
m-joy 15 Posted November 22, 2016 Author Posted November 22, 2016 - Sounds like the user doesn't have delete permissions on the Emby server 'Settings->Users->[userName]->Allow Media Deletion Hi, i think there is a misunterstanding here. I delete the movie on the synology server itself, not delete the movie via kodi. Then i scan the database via emby, and the movie is gone in the emby database. But when i run the scan on kodi with the emby plugin, the movie remains... Okay you guys right, first scan is really long. But then it is going faster. Problem is, when my girlfriend runs kodi, she hits all buttons if there is a little freeze, so i would rather choose a manual scan...
