mrees 6 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Out of curiosity, is there any reason you cannot use the OTA EPG information direct from the DVB-T stream? I find the OTA EPG very accurate in OZ and would love to minimise additional services and subscriptions where possible I have yet to migrate away from my old MCE, but I'm definitely considering it with the impending doom of Windows 7 and this is the last little piece that needs to come together to push me to a total Emby based solution
MadibaJ 20 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 The issue with the ota epg in aus is the love to put "new series" or "featuring sneak peak" into the titles which plays havoc with series recording. The Mediaportal tvserver has a addon that can clean up the ota epg.
linds1234 19 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Don't forget you can use http://freepg.tv/ for an XML feed too, they can be a little slow with channel changes sometimes but on the whole it's quite good.
