Why don't you allow <fileinfo> in .nfo for .strm-files?

hey

Because strm files don't have media info like languages, resolution etc. by nature, I wanted to place a .nfo file with that information (created by another Emby server for the original video file) to the strm file.

Unfortunately, when refreshing the respective movie, the information in

<fileinfo>
</fileinfo>

is being deleted by Emby server.

That's the only way to get metadata to strm files so why don't you allow that?

Regards

But there has to be a function that actively removes the information between

<fileinfo>

</fileinfo>

in .nfo files when strm files are being used.

So I'm wondering why this is being done.

Because we write our own media info, but in this case there just doesn't happen to be any.

Ok understood.

So will you consider making my intention possible?

Yes it's something we can look at for a future release.
