Been a good week or two with my last absolute failure of this app. Although the usual trend is to simply error out when trying to play because it can't see my server address that is binded.

Any ideas?

EDIT: uninstalled the update, sadly I can't disable that feature.

Now my audio is white noise.

I had the same issue after updating to beta version 2.3.17.  Everything worked fine until I rebooted kodi.  After the reboot, there was a popup saying that emby for kodi was not logged in.  I couldn't figure out a way to actually login, so I rolled back to the last stable release.  After that, all was good again.  I'll post a log when I get home later tonight.

At least yours worked, did a full force update and now every time I try to play something, says file no longer found, remove from library?

Like wtf

I can play everything just fine from the web.

You probably should just use the stable version if you are having a lot of WTF moments.

If you are happy to test and have the occasional error the Beta is what you can use but it sounds like you need more stability than Beta can offer.

I've done the stable only, I still have issues every couple weeks.

I don't get it because I'm using the same version of Kodi all throughout. 16.1.

Edit, guess I'll try this: https://www.tvaddons.ag/disable-updates/

EDIT 2: Reset kodi entirely. Reinstalled Emby, Every time I try to play something it says the file is not found would you like to remove it from library?

EDIT 3 Reset again, now it works...

Confirmed.

I don't even update stable on my 'production' machines for either the server or the addon. Once my stuff works I leave it be until there is a feature I really want, then I upgrade and test.

Turn off auto updates once it works well for you if you really want things stable.

Just out of curiosity - have you tried a fresh installation of Kodi and just installing the Emby for Kodi add-on and using this for a while?  Meaning no tvaddons or navi-x or any other third party add-on?

It's not exactly a secret that these third party pirating add-ons can royally f**k up a Kodi install.  The tvaddons guys post information about disabling updates because those guys routinely mess with (or get messed with by) competing addons.  If one of those installs corrupts or deletes files behind the scenes that Emby requires then who knows what can happen.

I have actually, but the problem is it takes several weeks for this to happen and my wife has her shows that she watches. I'd get in trouble if I didn't put all that on there (I spoiled her with all kinds of electronic goodies) xD

But yeah I turned updates to notify and am giving the finger to any and all updates on that box until Kodi 17.1 Final.

MySQL looks interesting, but I use Trakt for watched status and I have different configs for my laptop, my desktop just has it to test why the hell my Fire TV doesn't work anymore LOL.
