bigjohn 753 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 "Boxy" is in right now... Same thing my parents said when they bought their avocado green oldsmobile in 1976.
jordy 284 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 speaking of icons, im not sold on the big red box checkmarks/big green box new icons... I would like to see an option to make them smaller please. I like the idea but find them to - "in your face"
BATTLE DONKEY 98 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I like the older style icons like a simple checkmark or an eyeball, something slightly smaller. Would it be possible to change the watched icons via the IBN folder maybe? So everyone can use something more to their liking? 3
madfloyd 0 Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Disabling the view did the trick for me.

BATTLE DONKEY 98 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 @@Luke @@ebr Just had another idea I'd like to throw into the mix. If we did go this route making the watched icons user customisable via the IBN folder, would it be possible to have a structure where we can have our "default_watched_icon.PNG" and then also include secondary folders/icons I.e. December_icon.PNG could be a santa hat so that for the month of December the santa hat automatically becomes the watched indictor icon. Therefore allowing different icons to show up at different times of the year. December = santa hat (or whatever the user chooses), October could be a pumpkin for instance. I dont know if the server keeps track of the date but it would be a small but neat little feature if it can change the icons based on time of the year
ebr 16169 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 At this point I don't plan to implement customizable watched indicators in MBC. That just seems like a feature that would get used by 1% of users.
trusselo 225 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) actually i was just about to float the idea of having the possibility for an override image in imagebyname for all theme-able elements... rather than just that one icon. this would let users truly make mediabrowser their own. And with MBT, the customization could go further than ever. everyone could have their own custom play button, ect. you like so-and-so's theme? but hate a couple icons? now you would be able to change it... more likely to buy it... I would love to see this happen in the future. I know it just seems like minor things that only some users would use, BUT the customisation options (along with ease of use) is what got me hooked on MB in the first place back in the day and is what I have shown to people to get them to switch over to it also. While i agree that only a small percentage of users might use this and I know there are many more important things to work on before we should consider small things like this I also know that with proper documentation and an easy to read and understand guide many more people would also begin to start adding further customisations to their theme of choice. I'm in no way trying to twist an arm, just asking that it be reconsidered somewhere down the line. Features like this paired with a destiny type theme (I believe it was destiny that allowed u to mix and match different views from different purchased themes) would allow every user to completely customise their MB to their liking, making it more inticing to purchase new themes and plugins Edited February 5, 2014 by BATTLE DONKEY 1
moviefan 187 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Small issue I noticed with Chocolate tonight. Now that I have seen the "no watched" icon I really like using it for TV series. Tonight I found a TV show I wanted to watch that way but after entering the series noticed that the episode I wished to watch was already checked since I had passed out watching it the other night. So I went up to undo the no watched icon to deselect it.and it wouldn't work. It accepted the click and made the sound but the icon stayed green and wouldnt turn off until I exited the TV series to do it in the main collection screen. Unless there is a specific reason it is setup like this, it would be nice to be able to click this icon in any view and have it work.
ebr 16169 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Hmmm...definitely a bug and hopefully I can get it working right. The issue is that you had selected unwatched in the parent as well and that trickles down (because, if you asked to see only unwatched TV then that's what you want to see all the way down the tree).
