madfloyd 0 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 For a few months now Chocolate has been bugged - I can't navigate into any TV seasons (can browse all TV show, enter a TV show but cannot navigate into any of the seasons to get at the episodes). I'm sad because Chocolate is my favorite theme and I have to use others. I assumed it was a glitch that was pretty obvious and would be fixed but since it's been a while and I've seen updates to it that haven't fixed this problem, I thought I should post...
WWWestern 94 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Are You shure that Chocolate is in latest version? Are You tried uninstall/install the Chocolate? Are You tried rebuild the displaypreferences.db?
Crestj 68 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Chocolate is also my favourite theme (the old style not the new one) but mine is working perfectly so I guess it's something corrupt on your system Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Tikuf 663 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Makes sure that mbc is up to date or you wont see any updates for choc.
BATTLE DONKEY 98 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Doesn't sound the same as the same problem I was having but I guess there is no harm in trying, my chocolate theme is working great now. Have a look thru this topic, ebr helped me and by the looks of it the topic creator get his chocolate theme fixed up too http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/4123-choclate-problem/?fromsearch=1
Tranquil 94 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I think this bug is not fixed right now. What you can do is, to turn of the new style for TV shows in the cocolate settings. Sometimes, this bug appears to me too. In another thread I read, that the creator is on vacation or something like that.
BATTLE DONKEY 98 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Do your episodes show up when looking at the from the web page? If they don't show up on the web page then maybe u don't have the proper folder structure TV Show > Season 1 > episodeS1e01.mkv. Can u check on the sever web page to see if the individual episodes show up Edited January 23, 2014 by BATTLE DONKEY
ebr 16169 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I'm not aware of any such issues with Chocolate. No one has reported this and it appears to be working fine for most. Please confirm with the web client that there isn't a problem with your library structure and then post screen shots and logs if it isn't.
madfloyd 0 Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the replies. To answer your questions: - I get updates for Chocolate frequently, just as I do for other themes I have purchased. - I can browse episodes in the web client as well as any other theme other than Chocolate. So if nobody else is having this problem, it does sound like something is corrupt on my end. I will try deleting the Chocolate folder and re-installing Chocolate and see if it fixes the problem (and report back). Thanks again. Edited January 23, 2014 by madfloyd
madfloyd 0 Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 OK, deleting the folder and re-installing fixed it. Thanks, all.
madfloyd 0 Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Bad news - Chocolate is messed up again. It is showing all seasons of every TV show as 0 Episodes, n New (where n is the valid amount of unseen episodes). The fact that it thinks there are zero episodes prevents me from entering the Season 'folder'. This is not only frustrating but somewhat scary if Chocolate is the new default view. Anything I can do to help you troubleshoot this? Since the last time I fixed it by deleting the folder and .dll all I have done is do a few updates and play one movie.
mentasm 43 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I seem to also seeing the zero episode bug again since updating today to the latest MBC. I have been using MBC and chocolate for ages now and have both on beta updates. I seem to have ended up with 3.0.3.0 of chocolate installed. However in the configurator it says 3.0.2.24 is the latest version. I think I'll try removing chocolate and re-adding
mentasm 43 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Removing and readding 2.0.2.24 fixed it for me
ebr 16169 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Well, you went back a few versions so lost some other stuff. You guys that are seeing the "zero episodes" I assume you are talking about in the special TV view. If you simply arrow down to that season, does it not immediately fill in the proper number and allow you to expand it?
Guest HenryWaxmansNostrils Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Hi ebr I'm having intermittent probs with tv series zero episodes. I'm on MBC 3.0.117.0 b1-23.1 and server 3.0.5135.31685 . I have chocolate as my theme and love the custom view for tv. When I first start MBC I then select tv and then my series .i have six different series four of which are just one single season and every episode shows correctly. The two series with multiple seasons always show as 0 episodes.i have tried your suggestion arrowing down to season but it makes no difference. However if I now back out of TV to the EHS and then go back in all episodes then show up as they should. If I back out of media browser and go back in problem has returned and I repeat my fix then all is fine again. So to recap it's only a problem with multiple seasons and backing out of tv and re entering fixes it. Oddly when it shows 0 episodes it displays a number for new episodes. Is anyone else seeing this
ebr 16169 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Yes, that is still an intermittent issue. I know exactly what is going on but making it behave differently is proving tricky because it is inconsistent. The old MB2 internals I'm dealing with were simply not designed to ever show two levels at the same time.
Guest HenryWaxmansNostrils Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Thanks for reply EBR . Hopefully given time you'll be able to resolve this. I've used chocolate since mb2 days and love what you've done with it. I could turn the custom view off but I love the look so I'll live with the work around just to keep it. Thanks for all the hard work it's much appreciated regards Neil
moviefan 187 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I just had this same problem as well. Thought Chocolate was working grand for me but as I tried to watch a TV show it wouldnt let me (0 episodes shown and cant enter season view) so I just switched back to Harmony theme and it worked fine. I really like Chocolate and hope this can be fixed soon!

moviefan 187 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Just disable the special TV view... Thank you. Indeed this fixed it. I think I also like the custom view better but this at least gets me back to exactly how Harmony worked. Another random off-topic question - can you tell me what the third menu icon does? From right to left I see a User to change profiles, a Gear to enter configuration, and then there is this circle with some uneven lines through it. When I click it it turns green and I am not sure what it does.

I dont 'get' the icon, and how it is supposed to symbolize that... but a nice feature none the less. 1
moviefan 187 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 that toggles ALL itmes/only un-watched items when in movie and tv folders. I dont 'get' the icon, and how it is supposed to symbolize that... but a nice feature none the less. Ok thank you for the explanation...I was in a folder with almost all unwatched items so that is why I didnt notice the difference it made. Just went up really close to the TV and I see what the intent of the icon is. It is a checkmark in a circle and then a line through it like a no parking sign to represent dont show the checked items. I would suggest maybe changing this icon to an eye. Sitting about 10 feet away from a 65" plasma it is really tough to tell what that icon is. 1
ebr 16169 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I'd be happy for someone to make me a better icon. It was very hard to come up with anything that small that represents "unwatched" universally. Since we use a check mark to indicate watched items, the "don't" watched icon was the best I could do. I will probably try to add some sort of tool-tip type description to those icons as well so it is obvious what they are when they have focus.
trusselo 225 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 speaking of icons, im not sold on the big red box checkmarks/big green box new icons...
