https plackback on mobile devices browser (not apps)

Simple Question: Can I use Emby-Server with https and mobile device with browser. Yes or no ?

I have tried several setups and so far nothing has worked. I have tried different server-versions, ios devices and versions, android devices and so on...

From my own experience and from reading endless posts I see many unaddressed problems like music stopping after one song, movies that need transcoding no not play in android because of some security token that is missing, ...

If emby does not work on mobile browsers you should communicate this - it's just not fair to the end-user otherwise. I wasted so much time... and I think it's absolutely unbderstandable to be a little disappointed.

Cheers

Thank you for your answer- and please let me know if I post too much... or if I can do anything to help out.

It is a difficult situation. On the one hand I really appreciate the effort you guys put in this project- and it's a great project that solves many "media-problems". I also understand todays "mobile-world" is quite screwed up by Apple and Google- imposing many unnessesary problems on dev's and user's. Also, there is no alternative product one could take seriouly. Plex is no alternative because they force all "away-from-home" users to connect to their servers- which is almost criminal IMHO. So- I really love Emby and do understand the issues and that it takes time... I will give it time and stick with it. Thanks again.

BUT: Please allow me this comment: I think you should not be investing time for further features and minor things like rounding-off corners of thumbnails if there are still major basic issues around.

Question: Can you or anyone else provide me with some guidance on how to get multiple audio-tracks playing on IOS 10? This is one of my major use-cases and it is very annoying having to unlock my Iphone after every song.

(I tried with the app and with safari- nothing works.) Maybe there is some trick so something?

Cheers

EDIT: I think I deserve an answer here. I was complaining about the music playback in safari- you told me that the solution is to purchase the app. Your answer has been marked green as the best answer to my question. I then spent 100 Dollars for Emby Premiere and got the app. Just to see that the problem remains.

EDIT2: Just for info. IOS app crashed on scrubbing through the timeline of music-tracks.

I have not been able to reproduce that problem in sarfari. In the native app it's a known issue right now that requires us to rework the way we are managing the now playing queue and we will be handling that in an upcoming update to the app. Thanks.

Thanks a lot.

I would love to use safari...If there anything you can think of that might cause this issue- please let me know. I currently use IPhone SE with lastest IOS and latest Emby-Server-Version.

It's not about the money- I see it as a donation to the project... thats cool. I just need the music playing ;)

Cheers

My issue:

In ios10 safari browser music-plackback stops after one track if the phone enters lock-state. I can not get it working. (ios-chrome and ios-firefox and ios native app behaves the exact same way). Some users (including me) seem to have this problem. On the other hand many other users do not seem to have this problem. If anyone is interested- my temporary "solution" is a follows:

On the ios-device:

1. Open Settings → General → Accessibility.
Tap the Zoom section, and enable the Zoom switch. You should now see a Window Zoom overlay on top of the screen.
Perform a three-finger triple-tap on the screen to access an additional overlay with zoom controls.
Tap Full Screen Zoom, and use the slider at the bottom of the overlay to zoom all the way out if necessary.
Tap Choose Filter and select Low Light.
Go back to the main Accessibility section of the Settings app, and scroll down and select Accessibility Shortcut.
Tap Zoom for the Accessibility shortcut to assign a three finger-tap to the Zoom setting.
Triple-press the Home button to quickly switch between brightness.

2. Disable autolock

I now lock my phone manually. When I use emby for music-playback I triple-press the home-button to dim the display.
