Hardware Acceleration mode

Hi,

 

I was going through the HA options and see there is no selection for Nvidia CUVID (which I have set in Lav Video config - I only use nvidia based cards as a preference) so I have selected auto. Will that then use the CUVID selection or revert to software only or....?

i don't know. i'm not sure what our developer did for nvidia. it's still in progress so it might not be there yet. try it and report back.

No problem, still seems to play flawlessly (since it has a since day 1), I just figured I'd make sure I have it set correctly.

Ok, I tested a DVD mkv in graphstudio, and the LAV Video decoder is being used (and shows active in LAV Video Properties). However, when playing the same DVD through MBT LAV Video (and therefore hardware acceleration) is not being used.

 

EDIT: I also can see the active decoder within MBT now, within the system tray and the decoder is the copy-back decoder and not CUVID so, its not setup for NVIDIA yet.

 

So as you said, its a new change and I assume the developer hasn't added NVIDA to the selection yet.
