opensubtitles api is not working

Hey there,

I can't download any subtitles via the opensubtitles api. When I try to download it via the context menu, I just get the message: "No subtitles found".

I am also a VIP member, so to much downloads may not be the issue. The log indicates an error: "Error HttpClient: Error getting response from https://api.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc"

So, how can I fix this?

Thank you :)

edit, now with log:

sorry, I forgot to push the button. I edited the first post with the log.

The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.

Is that what they return when you're over the limit?

Thank you tehfist. I changed the host file according to your post. Seems like opensubtitles has changed their api address. Maybe this change will be included in the next emby build. :)

I don't think it's related to the api address but more to the kind of HTTP Request that is done by Emby.

The github issue on the VLC addon i linked on the other topic points a change in the HTTP header, maybe it's the same thing with Emby.

I would try again with the next release of emby server. Thanks.

Did this change make it into the latest update? I've just updated and restarted emby server and I'm still not getting any subtitle search results

No we have not had a new release yet. Thanks.

Is this going to be a Stable Release or are you talking about on the Beta Channel? I was using Beta but switched to Stable a couple of months ago because I didn't think I was missing too much being on Stable.

TIA
