Emby ignores the new movies. Why?

First time Emby user. Installed Emby server (3.0.8400.0) on Centos 7. It perfectly scanned my movies folder. So far so good.

 

Today, I copied another movie to  the library folder. I did a Library | Scan Library to get this movie in with no success. Emby thinks that new movie just doesn't exist. 

 

I must be doing something wrong.

 

I would appreciate any hint.

Check your permissions. I'm willing to bet that Emby doesn't have the proper permissions to view the newly copied file. I believe that the default Emby server install uses the user:group emby:emby.

By the way, is there a way to force sabnzbd to move the file to the completed folder with a specific ownership?

My suggestion would be to run sabnzbd as the same user and group as emby by editing the user and group in the sabnzbd dameon settings to emby and emby. 

 

For a quick and easy solution you can also try setting the "Permissions for Completed Downloads" to "777" under "Folders" in sabnzbd configuration settings.

How did you determine it was file ownership?
