Emby seeing TV shows as anime when titles are similar

So my sets of Eureka and Supernatural are for some reason being seen as anime, and NOTHING I do fixes it.  Even deleting the anidb info and updating and it just grabs the anidb info again.  It's frustrating as heck because all the other information is correct.  I can't uninstall the anidb plugin because it doesn't show up in my installed plugins.  Very frustrated.

Eureka is being seen as the series Eureka Seven and Supernatural is being seen as Supernatural the animated series *madhouse did a 1 season anime*

Have you tried manually removing it?  Shut down server and navigate to "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\plugins" and delete or move "MediaBrowser.Plugins.Anime.dll", start server.

Deleting the "MediaBrowser.Plugins.Anime.dll" appears to have worked.  My only concern though is going forward with identifying difficult anime haha.  I guess I will deal with that on a case by case :)

Thanks for the report. If you run into a specific issue with a series please let us know. Enjoy.

I've struggled with the same issue, supernatural, grimm and eureka always defaulting to anime regardless of if I manually identified the series. Something is definitely wrong in priorities.

It just goes by whatever is the highest priority metadata provider.

Shouldn't Anime be a content type then?

Ok well there you go, should manually identifying follow by metadata provider priority? Even if I identify as the proper series, the anidb id is inserted and it's all kinds of messed up metadata. Manually identifying should follow the same logic as nfo, as in it overrides everything else.

Anime is still just TV as far as emby is concerned. It will be easier once the metadata priorities can be done per library, then you can prioritize that library with anidb first, while keeping your tv libraries more appropriate for regular tv.

ok so... idk if this is the proper place to ask this but...

the anime plugin seems to not be working at all... all data seems to be gathered from tvdb and imdb.

for instance...

Aah! My Goddess anime is listed as

https://anilist.co/anime/49/AaMegamisama on anilist ( i guess 49 as id goes)

https://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=27 on anidb (guessing id is 27 or aid27 here)

None of the above work... but when i go manually identifying it with:

tt0107731 on imdb

it works... hence my question, why is the plugin not working as intended?

EDIT> also all images are being fetched from TVDB and not from ANIDB or AniList... so i'm really confused right now...
